PRAXIS II Specialty Area Tests Failure Meeting

Meet with students individually in the case of failure.
Ask students to bring their test results.
Discuss the reasons for their failure, and ask what they might do differently when they retake the PRAXIS II specialty tests.
Outline a brief plan of remediation.
Direct students to resources and remediation opportunities.
Discuss next appropriate test date.
Arrange follow-up meetings with students before they test again to determine if they have participated in remediation activities.
Direct students to content resources. Direct students to university writing support resources if they have difficulty writing constructed responses to questions, especially in regard to clarity, organization, grammar, and spelling.
Have students concentrate on writing clear and grammatically correct responses to 3 questions on a case within 30-minute time limits.
