
PRAXIS II Tests: An Orientation
PRAXIS II Specialty Area Tests Failure Meeting
Faculty/Staff
- Meet with students individually in the case of failure.
- Ask students to bring their test results.
- Discuss the reasons for their failure, and ask what they might do
differently when they retake the PRAXIS II specialty tests.
- Outline a brief plan of remediation.
- Direct students to resources and remediation opportunities.
- Discuss next appropriate test date.
- Arrange follow-up meetings with students before they test again to
determine if they have participated in remediation activities.
- Direct students to content resources. Direct students to university
writing support resources if they have difficulty writing constructed
responses to questions, especially in regard to clarity, organization,
grammar, and spelling.
- Have students concentrate on writing clear and grammatically correct
responses to 3 questions on a case within 30-minute time limits.
- Offer remediation opportunities for students using the ETS PRAXIS
II Tests at a Glance.
