The following suggestions can assist students and administrators to obtain a clearer picture of who is unsuccessful in the PRAXIS II specialty tests and why. They also can help set the scene for encouraging students to engage in content review and practice before retaking the tests.
Student
- Take complete test results to the instructor or department chair.
- Review the raw scores and determine the strong and weak areas.
- Go back and review that material.
- Consult the ETS test aids available at www.ets.org/PRAXIS.
- Take notes and review.
- Participate in any remedial opportunities.
- Meet with instructors before scheduling another test date.
