Tips for PRAXIS Test Success

  1. As early as possible, begin reviewing the content covered on tests from textbooks and class materials.
  2. Assess personal areas of strength and weakness.
  3. Remediate content areas considered weaknesses. Read thoroughly and complete practice questions in Tests at a Glance.
  4. Assess success on sample questions. Practice additional questions in the "PRAXIS Practice" and "Review Study Guide."
  5. Come prepared with the ETS admission ticket and an acceptable form of photo ID. The ticket information and the list of acceptable IDs are in the Registration Bulletin.
  6. Learn as much as possible about the tests from Web sites, research, and previous PRAXIS II examinees.
  7. Take time to understand the directions.
  8. Read each question completely and carefully before responding. Keep track of time.
  9. Make educated guesses for multiple-choice questions.
