PRAXIS II Tests: An Orientation
Basic Techniques for Having a Good PRAXIS II Day
- Examinees should arrive early to the testing center. The best stories about car trouble, no parking space, and traffic jams will not get a person into a testing session once the reporting time has passed and the test has begun. ETS will not refund fees. Common sense should tell test takers that if they have to travel, arrive, and report at a test center destination on time, they need as much rest as possible the day before. If a candidate is scheduled to take more than one test, the day can be very exhausting.
- Because all PRAXIS II tests are timed, examinees have to pace themselves
to allow time to consider each question. ETS explains in the Registration
Bulletin how tests are scored. It is advantageous for test takers
to read every question included on the test and to attempt to answer
every question.
- Bringing a lunch is a good idea
since a restaurant experience may not be possible in the allotted time.
No food or drink may be brought back into the testing room, and examinees
must report back on time.
