Exceptional Children (CEC)
The CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated
to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities,
students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.
- The National Association
of State Directors of Special Education (NASDSE)
NASDE is dedicated to supporting state agency staff carry out their
mission of ensuring a quality education for students with disabilities.
- LDOnline
LDOnline provides information about learning disabilities for parents,
teachers, and other professionals.
- The
President's Committee on Mental Retardation (PCMR)
PCMR is a federal advisory committee, established by presidential executive
order to advise the President of the United States and the Secretary
of Health and Human Services on issues concerning citizens with mental
retardation, and coordinate activities between different federal agencies
and assess the impact of their policies upon the lives of citizens with
mental retardation and their families.
- The Arc
The Arc is the national organization of and for people with mental retardation
and related developmental disabilities and their families. It is devoted
to promoting and improving supports and services for people with mental
retardation and their families. The association also fosters research
and education regarding the prevention of mental retardation in infants
and young children.

· An access point for over 20 Kentucky library catalogs.
· A place where anyone can ask a question and get help and direction

· The coordinating body for resource sharing systems for Kentucky’s

· The coordinating body for a digitization project that provides
online access to archival finding aids for materials located in archives
and special collections throughout Kentucky as well as digitized photographs,
text materials, and sound files from these collections.
· A resource for hands-on training for librarians, educators,
and others interested in learning more about searching the materials
collected by KYVL.
· The coordinating body of the Endeavor Consortium, which assists
